Who runs this site
This is Jimmy Heneidy's personal site, and Jimmy is responsible for your personal data here. If you have a question about it, write to contact@jimmyheneidy.com.
What this site collects
You can use the site without an account. There are no comments or newsletter sign-ups.
Like any website, the site's host sees your IP address when you open a page, so that it can show you the page.
When you write through the contact form
The form asks for your name, your email address and your message. They reach us by email at collabs@jimmyheneidy.com through our email provider, and we use them to reply to you and to keep in touch about your request. We keep these messages for two years and then delete them.
We also keep short records of attempts to send the form that reach this site. They show when an attempt happened, whether it worked, roughly where it came from and, when available, how long the message was. They do not include your name, email address or message, and they are deleted after 90 days. When analytics is running, Google Analytics also notes that the form was sent, without what you wrote.
Cookies
We use Google Analytics to see which pages people read. When it is running, it saves two small files, called cookies, in your browser. Google then learns which pages you open, which page brought you here, what browser and device you use and roughly where you are, such as your city.
This does not tell us who you are. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.
| Cookie | What it is for | Kept for up to |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Tells one browser from another | 2 years |
_ga_CYYZ16C66L | Keeps track of a visit | 2 years |
You can delete these cookies in your browser at any time. Google keeps details of individual visits for 14 months. What it uses to recognise your browser when you return can be kept for 14 months after your latest visit. Overall totals, such as how many times a page was read, can be kept longer.
Your choices
If your browser is set up for the EU, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the site asks you first. It goes by your browser's settings, not by where you actually are.
When we ask first, Google Analytics starts only after you choose Accept, and Reject keeps it off. Otherwise it starts when you open a page, unless you have already rejected it.
You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. When you press Reject, Google Analytics stops and the two cookies are removed. Information recorded while it was running may still reach Google afterwards, and what has already been sent cannot be taken back.
Your browser normally remembers your choice. If it cannot, the notice tells you, and your choice then applies only to the page you are on. An earlier acceptance may still apply on another page, so you may need to reject cookies there too.
Instagram and other sites
The Instagram pictures on the home page come straight from Instagram, so Instagram sees your IP address when they load. Links to other sites take you there only when you click them, and those sites have their own privacy rules.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to contact@jimmyheneidy.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and its date.
